Its chemical stability is not very good, but it is resistant to oxidation by oxidants and reducing agents, and it is also good in acid resistance. However, it is not resistant to concentrated sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid. When high temperature and high concentration of alkali occur, chemical reactions occur to dissolve the polyester. The solvent of phenol is swollen with increasing concentration and temperature, and is hydrolyzed in humid air at a high temperature, so the use temperature is lower than that of other synthetic fibers, and is about 80 °C
