1.The main difference between polyester bolting cloth and nylon bolting cloth:

(1)Fabric polyester is made by the chemical synthetic fibre,it belongs to polyester system.

Polyester bolting cloth has advantage of solvent resistance, high temperature resistance, water resistance, chemical resistance. Although when the polyester bolting cloth suffer much bigger external pressure, its physical performance is stable and stretchability is low. Compared with nylon bolting cloth, it has poor wear resistance. Besides it has the advantage of nylon bolting cloth, it’s also suitable for printing high demand on dimension accuracy of the printed circuit board, etc.

(2)Nylon bolting cloth: it’s made by the chemical synthetic fibre, belongs to the polyamide system.

It has advantage of high strength, wear resistance, chemical resistance, water resistance, flexibility is good, and because of wire dia uniformity and smooth surface, the ink through sexual is extremly good. The disadvantage of it is large stretchability. The tension of this kind of bolting cloth will be low after a period of time of net stretch, it make the screen plate flabby and precision decline. Therefore, it’s not suitable for printing high demand on dimension accuracy of the printed circuit board, etc.

2.The easiest way to distinguish between nylon bolting cloth and polyester bolting cloth is as follows:

(1)Burn

Operation: Cut a piece of 8cm×2cm bolting cloth scrap, tie it with iron wire to the chopsticks, and ignite the bolting cloth strip with a match. The bolting cloth is lit.

Observation: Slowly burning while melting, the ash is a yellow-brown glass ball with a nylon bolting cloth, and the polyester bolting cloth is burned with dark smoke while melting. The ash is a hard black residue. Nylon bolting cloth is the burnt smell of wool, and polyester is the fragrant smell.

(2)Acid dissolution

Operation: Take a small amount of sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid, and prepare a 70% solution of sulfuric acid. Prepare a 20% solution of hydrochloric acid and put the wire bolting cloth scrap into the above solution.

Observation: The nylon bolting cloth can be dissolved in the solution, and the polyester bolting cloth is insoluble.
