What mesh should be used for Zebra Mussels filtration

Zebra mussels are aquatic mollusks with zebra-like stripes on their shells which are one of the most invaded freshwater animals in the world.

It is native to the lakes and waterways of the Volga River in southern Russia. However, in the past 30 years, they have spread rapidly across the world from the hulls of lakes to oceans and ships (they can grow to 250 microns in a few days and to full size in a few months, which is a great threat to water-safety). Due to the fast reproduction speed, it will affect the ecological balance of the entire water system and cause serious economic losses.

In order to reduce the harm the zebra mussels bring, the filtration of it is particularly important. MAISHI suggests a 25micron stainless steel wire mesh for the Zebra mussels filtration. Besides, MAISHI can supply the top quality stainless steel wire mesh in food grade and is safe to use. Such as, 316-grade stainless steel wire mesh has great corrosion resistance, which assures it has a longer service time.
