How to choose nylon mesh insect net

In the selection of nylon meshs, it is necessary to consider the mesh number, color and width of the gauze.

If the number of meshes is too small and the mesh size is too large, the insect control effect will not be achieved. And if the number is too large, the mesh is too small, although it can prevent insects, but poor ventilation, resulting in high temperature and excessive shading, is not conducive to crop growth.

For example, in the fall, many pests began to move into the shed, especially some moth and butterfly pests. Due to their large size, vegetable farmers can use insect nets with relatively few meshes, such as 30-60 mesh insect nets.

However, if there are more weeds and whiteflies outside the shed, you should prevent them from entering through

the holes of the insect net according to the smaller size of the whiteflies. It is recommended that farmers use dense insect nets, such as 40-60 purposes.

For example, the key to the control of tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TY) is to choose a qualified insect-resistant nylon gauze. Under normal circumstances, a 40 mesh nylon gauze is sufficient. Too dense ventilation is not good, and it is difficult to cool the shed at night after planting. However, the gauze mesh produced in the gauze market is rectangular. The mesh of a 40-mesh gauze can have more than 30 meshes on the narrow side and more than 20 meshes on the wide side, which cannot meet the requirements for blocking whitefly. Therefore, only 50-60 mesh gauze can be used to block Bemisia tabaci.

Nylon mesh needs to be fully enclosed when selecting. It is compact on all sides, and it is firmly fixed by using film line. The doors to the large and medium sheds and the greenhouse must be closed immediately after entering and exiting. In the small arch shed, the insect net is covered and cultivated. The height of the scaffold should be significantly higher than the crops. Avoid the vegetable leaves close to the insect net to prevent pests from eating outside or laying eggs on the vegetable leaves.
